Atelier Populaire is committed to making natural-origin, organic and vegan cosmetics without animal testing. Organic certification is assessed under the COSMOS standard by Ecocert; check each product for its specific certification and Cosmébio label. We carefully select our ingredients and apply demanding manufacturing standards.
Les Pavés de Paris, the Voyage collection and our CBD and organic hemp oil range have received the Fabriqué à Paris label (in French), awarded by the City of Paris to recognise local craftsmanship. We favour local production and consider the environmental impact of the way we work.
Products designed with care
Our ambition is to show that natural and organic cosmetics can be enjoyable to use, with expressive packaging and clear commitments. Developing them requires care every day. Choosing natural ingredients should not mean giving up the pleasure of using a product: Atelier Populaire aims to bring enjoyment and ethics together.
Responsible sourcing
We select raw materials against strict specifications, favouring ingredients of plant or mineral origin and organic and fair-trade sources wherever possible. Our sourcing considers users, producers and the ecosystems from which ingredients come. We avoid petrochemical and animal-derived ingredients. Find details in our ingredient glossary.
A demanding quality policy
From the outset, our quality system has included internal checks on incoming raw materials and good manufacturing practices. We maintain traceability for raw materials and finished products. We listen to our customers and record the feedback we receive. We comply with French and European regulations on cosmetic products.
Considering our environmental impact
Manufacturing in the heart of Paris remains possible. Our electricity supplier, Vattenfall, guarantees that 100% of our consumption is matched by renewable electricity generation. Cold-process soapmaking, considered packaging choices, the sale of production offcuts and the option to buy without a box are part of our approach.

Local cosmetics manufacturing
We make our cosmetics from start to finish without subcontracting their manufacture. Our products are made at our workshop in Paris. We also consider proximity when selecting raw materials and packaging, and work with French suppliers that meet our specifications.
